Digital economy in Guangxi draws global attention

Global enterprises have been attracted to the first China-ASEAN AI Summit and the Partner Signing Ceremony of China-ASEAN Information Harbor, which will be held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Sept 7.

As a warm-up event of the 16th China-ASEAN Expo, the summit will invite officials and enterprises from the ASEAN countries in charge of big data-related industries to build an efficient communication platform for Chinese enterprises to invest in ASEAN countries. The Guangxi government will also select more than 200 high-quality projects with strong market demand and good development prospects for investment enterprises at the summit.

To date, hundreds of enterprises have signed up to participate in the product exhibition of the first China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Summit, including China Mobile, Alibaba Cloud, Huawei, Sugon, Inspur, iFLYTEK, and Sense Time Technology.

The accelerated development of the digital economy in Guangxi has attracted the attention of many companies. Guangxi's unique geographical advantages, as well as its close economic and trade exchanges with ASEAN countries have also provided an important platform for many companies interested in exploring the ASEAN digital economy.

Wan Zuhua, general manager of NetEase’s Guangxi branch, said that Guangxi has become an important market for many digital economy enterprises due to the continuous improvement of Guangxi's digital economy industry chain.

Jin Hairuo, general manager of the cloud computing division of Digital Guangxi Group, said that Guangxi has improved the quality of traditional industries like sugar, aluminum, and automobile manufacturing through digital factories and artificial intelligence. It has also optimized social management effectiveness by building cloud-based government and industrial platforms. The digital economy is becoming an important driver for upgrading the economy of Guangxi.
