Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area, also known as Guilin Xiangshan Scenic Area, reopened to visitors from areas with a low epidemic risk from Feb 26, as the first scenic spot in Guilin to be reopened to the public.

In order to ensure the personal safety of tourists and staff members, the scenic area is only open to tourists from low-risk areas and only the main viewing areas are opened. Visitors need to complete personal information registration through their mobile phone and [ass the artificial temperature test to enter the scenic area. ID cards are necessary when purchasing tickets and entering the park. Those who are from high-risk areas or cannot show their ID cards cannot enter.
Visitors are also required to keep a safe distance of more than 1.5 meters from other visitors and to wear masks when queuing for tickets or entering the park.

In addition, in order to rationally control the number of people entering the park, it is temporarily closed to residents, and activities that gather a number of people are not allowed in the scenic area.
Guilin has issued a work guide for the reopening of scenic spots in the city. At present, the city's A-level scenic spots are being prepared in an orderly manner for resumption of work. It is expected that nearly 70 percent of A-level scenic spots will be reopened one after another in the near future.
