The Leading Group on COVID-19 Prevention and Control of Guangxi has issued the following notice: according to the Work Program on Beginning the Spring Term of 2020 for Grade Three Senior and Junior High School Students of Guangxi, the beginning of the new term for grade three senior high school students and grade three junior high school students is set to be April 7th. Other stages and grades of primary and secondary schools (including kindergartens, special-education schools, secondary vocational schools and technical schools) and institutions of higher learning should start the new term and resume classes in light of the complexion of prevention and control and following the principle of region-specific and multi-level approaches to COVID-19 prevention and control as well as the requirements of staggering the beginning of the new term and the returning to schools. The exact date of the beginning of the new term may be left to the discretion of different cities, institutions of higher learning, provincial-level secondary vocational schools and technical schools, and must be reported to relevant authorities for registration via due procedures.
