A special program for the 2020 Sanyuesan Festival of the Zhuang people was broadcast to the whole country on March 26 through various channels such as radio, television, and internet platforms, serving as a prelude to the festival and showcasing the charm of Zhuang culture to people all over China.
Due to the novel coronavirus epidemic, this year's festival heavily features a number of innovative and creative online events. Various activities will be held to enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the public with an enthusiastic festival atmosphere at a critical moment in the fight against the epidemic.
The online events are divided into five major sections. They were presented in the form of wonderful art performances at the special program that was broadcast on March 26.
In addition, singers of various nationalities in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region sang folk songs through real-time video streams, and many government officials in rural areas shared stories from the front line of fighting poverty.
From March 26 to April 26, the region will hold a total of 21 major activities. In addition, its districts and cities will also organize and plan a range of online activities to celebrate the traditional ethnic festival.
Events will include tourism display, epidemic prevention and control information promotion, various cultural exchange experience activities, ethnic clothing design activities and exhibitions, short video contests, traditional food and craft displays, folk song broadcasts, shopping promotions, as well as indoor sports event competitions.
