Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has been devoted to promoting the development and innovation of modern agriculture by building various agricultural demonstration zones, agricultural industrial parks, advantage areas of characteristic agricultural products, as well as strong agricultural industry towns and villages.
At present, the region has identified 13,851 demonstration zones (parks and sites), an increase of 6,240 over the end of 2018, of which 339 are at the autonomous region-level.

The region has upgraded four national-level modern agricultural industrial park in Hengxian county of Nanning, Laibin, Liunan district of Liuzhou, and Du’an Yao autonomous county of Hechi. A total of 287 million yuan ($40.47 million) in subsidies from the central government and 1.22 billion yuan of social capital have been invested in the four parks.
Thirteen advantage areas of characteristic agricultural products in the region have been identified as national-level and will receive 20 million yuan in support funds each. In 2019, 17 new autonomous region-level advantage areas were built, with each receiving five million yuan in support funds from the region. In addition, three autonomous region-level modern agricultural industrial parks were established.

In addition, 20 townships in Guangxi have been desginated as demonstration projects of national-level strong agricultural industry townships. Each township has received 10 million yuan in state support funds.
A total of 14 counties have been appraised as national-level leisure agriculture and rural tourism demonstration counties, 22 villages have been appraised as China's beautiful villages, and 213 autonomous-level agriculture and rural tourism demonstration sites have been created.
