The 17th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) will set up an exhibition area for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for the first time to build a high-level cooperation platform for enterprises in the Greater Bay Area to connect with the ASEAN market.

With a planned area of 2,000 square meters, the Greater Bay Area exhibition hall will display its high-quality products and advantageous industries like high-end equipment manufacturing and electronic information. It will also focus on the various achievements of related industries in the Greater Bay Area, as well as their spread, transfer, and promotion in surrounding provinces and cities.

Guangxi is the permanent venue for CAEXPO and has close relationships with ASEAN counties. It has also strengthened exchanges with the Greater Bay Area, one of China's most opening-up areas with strong economic vitality. The three parties have geographical advantages in cooperation.

Since the beginning of this year, Guangxi has fully introduced more than 400 key projects in the Greater Bay Area, with a total investment of over 1 trillion yuan ($141.17 billion). The annual planned investment is about 70 billion yuan, covering infrastructure construction like railways, highways, water transportation, aviation, energy, and industrial parks, as well as fields like industrial development, social and livelihood, as well as ecological and environmental protection. Among them, six projects have been fully implemented.

The 17th CAEXPO, which is scheduled to be held in September this year, is committed to serving as an important platform for China-ASEAN cooperation and providing in-depth service to new hotspots for cooperation. It will promote exchanges between the Greater Bay Area and ASEAN countries, as well as the sharing of mature experiences in aspects like economic and social development, as well as scientific and technological achievements.
