According to Pingxiang Customs in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, in the first seven months of this year, Guangxi has seen a total of 217 inbound and outbound China-Europe freight trains, an increase of 5.2 times year-on-year.

Pingxiang Railway Port is a national first-class international port connecting China and Vietnam. It is also an important node for the import and export of China-Europe freight trains and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in the western region. In February and April this year, the Pingxiang Railway Port was successively approved as a designated supervision site for imported fruit and a port of entry for Thai fruit to be exported to China via a third country.

At present, there are five main routes for China-Europe freight trains exporting products to Vietnam via Pingxiang from cities such as Haian, Zhengzhou, Nanning, Wuhan, and Chongqing. The commodities shipped to Vietnam are mainly electronic products, light industrial products and daily necessities, and the return train primarily brings back electronic products and fruit.

As of the end of July, Pingxiang Railway Port had processed 64 trains of inbound fruit, importing 10,500 tons of fruit worth 120 million yuan ($17.31 million).

In addition, since the beginning of this year, Nanning Customs in Guangxi has also been introducing measures to serve China-Europe freight trains. It has carried out convenient clearance operations and reduced corporate costs. A railway manifest management subsystem was put into operation to realize paperless customs clearance at the port. Goods can be declared in advance and inspected after arrival. The operation time of each customs declaration has been reduced from three or four hours to the present three minutes.
