The first batch of business to business (B2B) cross-border e-commerce cargo under the 9710 supervision code and declared by list passed clearance in the Pingxiang Comprehensive Free Trade Zone of the Chongzuo area of the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) on Sept 1.

It marked the first trial of exports under the 9710 supervision code conducted by the comprehensive demonstration zone for cross-border e-commerce in Chongzuo.

The cargo consisted of testing instruments and spare parts worth 27,000 yuan ($3,946.31) that were being transported to Hanoi, Vietnam.

The 9710 supervision code stands for the regulatory model applicable for cargo exported directly through cross-border B2B platforms.

The new export regulatory model has simplified declaration procedures as companies can declare their cargo in batches. It has reduced the waiting time for customs clearance, cutting down companies' operation and clearance costs, as well as increasing their overseas competitiveness.

Youyi Port Customs under Nanning Customs will carry out normalization operation of the cross-border B2B export model to make contributions to the construction and development of the comprehensive demonstration zone for cross-border e-commerce in Chongzuo, as well as to build a new growth pole for Guangxi's foreign trade economic development.
