The opening ceremony of the 2020 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition was held on Dec 8 in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The exhibition will last for three days.

The expo, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, aims to push forward the tourism exhibition, communication, and cooperation between China and ASEAN countries, incorporating elements like e-commerce, technology, and 5G networks.

Covering a total area of 25,000 square meters, the expo has set up several themed exhibition pavilions in areas spanning overseas tourism, domestic travel, tourism consumption, and international tourist commodities, gathering more than 20 official tourism agencies and over 120 exhibitors from both home and abroad.
