The Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region launched 10 high-quality study tour routes during a matchmaking event for tourism companies from Guangxi and Macao, which was held in Macao on July 10.

Tan Juan, an official from the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, noted that the 10 routes are expected to bring a brand new experience for youths from Hong Kong and Macao as these routes have covered various aspects spanning local history, natural scenery, ethnic culture and intangible cultural heritages.

Gao Lin, secretary general of the Guangxi Tourism Association, said that the matchmaking event was held to boost communication and cooperation between Guangxi and Macao in the tourism industry, and establish a cooperatitive platform for convenient communication of tourism between Guangxi and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Gao expressed her hope that companies which manage the tourism industry in both Guangxi and Macao can join hands in seeking development opportunities and make efforts in promoting the revival and prosperity of the tourism industry. 

Guangxi and Macao are close to each other geographically and share similar languages, which lays a solid foundation for tourism companies from both sides to carry out cooperation.
