A competition on professional skills in electricity supply chain service took place at the China Southern Power Grid's Guilin power supply bureau, gathering 81 competitors from 12 county-level subsidiaries of the bureau, local media outlets reported on Sept 28.

The competition applied online video monitoring, and had three sectors that tested competitors' ability of demanding and purchasing, contract signing and quality control, and logistics warehouse management.

Participants were required to have a fair amount of knowledge in areas spanning materials management systems and electronic business systems.

One of the competitors said that the event has offered a platform for staff members to showcase their skills and to learn from others.

The supply chain skills competition was the first of its kind after the establishment of the supply chain service center at the Guilin power supply bureau, which aims to accelerate the cultivation of high-quality talents in the electricity supply chain industry.
