China is willing to share its experience in controlling COVID-19 with ASEAN to revive tourism, enhance international cooperation and communication, and promote the development of global tourism, said Zhang Xu, vice minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, on Wednesday.
Regardless of the negative impact brought by the pandemic on the global tourism industry, China's domestic tourism market is still on the rise by virtue of domestic exploration efforts.
In addition, traditional Chinese medicine has proved effective, so characteristic health tourism products can be developed in combination with the tourism industry.
“For the global tourism industry, the global pandemic is not only a challenge, but an opportunity as well,” said Zhang, adding that “China and ASEAN will further deepen health tourism cooperation and create a better future together.”
