Nanning Wuxu International Airport is now able to check passengers' health codes by scanning their identification cards at the self-service gate machines while the other seven airports in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region will launch the service before Jan 20.
The Big Data Development Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guangxi Airport Group have upgraded 54 self-service gate machines in eight airports to check passengers' IDs and health codes in a matter of seconds, further increasing accuracy and efficiency.
A staff member from Guangxi Airport Group said that the elderly and accompanied children can receive Guangxi health codes with the help of airport staff members before passing through the gate machines. Those who fail to get their health codes will have to be registered and sign letters of commitment before passing through.
Additional broadcasts and signals will be available at the airports to help passengers get their health codes and increase operational efficiency.
