Recently, the 2024 China Sepaktakraw Open for Lancang-Mekong Cooperation kicked off at Santang Sports Training and Competition Base in Nanning, Guangxi, and relevant teams from six countries including China, Thailand and Cambodia, would compete fiercely for four days in the “Green City”.

It is reported that held once a year since 2021, the event aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the field of sports among countries in the basin of Lancang River-Mekong River, promote the development of sepaktakraw and improve the level of sepaktakraw in various countries. Jointly sponsored by the Multiball Games Administrative Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Sports Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the competition has set up four groups, namely men's single, women's single and men's quadruples and women's quadruples, and the rankings of teams will be determined by a single cycle system. On the field, the athletes flexibly used their feet, knees, and other parts to pass, catch and spike the ball, making the competition exciting and fierce.
