Seniors were recently seen basking in the sunshine in a surface parking lot in front of an apartment for the aged in Hangzhou in China’s eastern Zhejiang province, local news website Zhejiang Online reported on Feb. 25.

Every day, Yu Guohua, a neighborhood staff worker, first places one chair in each parking spot and then guides the senior people to their own seats. There, they could enjoy the sunshine or do exercises around the chairs. The distance between each chair is 1.5 meters.
Yu said doing so could relieve their loneliness.

The elderly apartment has adopted closed-off management for virus prevention and control since Jan. 26, and people living in it strictly followed virus control guidance by wearing masks and avoiding gatherings.
