The first Study Tour Education Development Forum was inaugurated in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Aug 10, with 154 domestic experts and teachers from universities across the country, related institutions, as well as media representatives discussing the development of study tour education.

The forum was sponsored by Guilin Tourism University, Tourism Education Press, and the Guangxi Study Tour Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee. Experts discussed in depth the current situation, problems, and trends of the development of study tour education from different angles, as well as expounded the importance and necessity of the development of study tour in many aspects.

Lectures on study tour management and service majors, the integration development model of study tours in the next five years, as well as the Guilin model of study tour training were held at the forum.

In the expert dialogue session, experts discussed the topics of "How to better integrate study tour and labor education" and "How to better transform social resources into curriculum resources for study tours." They also shared their opinions and exchanged experiences.
