The 2021 Guilin Lijiang River Shopping Festival commenced on June 25 in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, attracting more than 70 attendees including government officials and company representatives.
This year's festival will last for five months, from June to October. A total of 23 consumption promotion events will be held during the period with five themes spanning household appliances, home decoration and catering.
Guilin Bank, co-organizer of the event, will take measures such as releasing coupons and offering discounts when using the bank's cards in order to boost local consumption.
The shopping festival, now in its fourth year, has become a major way to showcase Guilin's charm, boost socio-economic development and enhance its image as an international consumption hub city.
