The Consular Protection Energizing Enterprises Going Global Promotion for Investment and Trade Cooperation by Foreign Consulates General in Nanning was held in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on July 21.
Envoys from six ASEAN consulates general, which include Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam attended the event, and discussed the trade and investment environments of their countries.
Peng Jian, director of the foreign affairs office of the Nanning municipal government, said that local companies' are in the process of going global, but have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the complicated and volatile international situation.
Peng added that the promotion fair has helped companies learn more about pressing issues that coincide with going global through experts' explanations in such areas as coping with overseas risks and challenges, and how to enhance risk prevention capacity.
She also expressed her hope that Chinese companies can have better communication channels when entering overseas markets and find cooperation and development opportunities more accurately.
Envoys attending the event all noted that they are willing to carry out more communication and matchmaking with Nanning in regards to economics and investment. They also expressed hope that more Chinese companies can invest in their countries.
Wang Qun, vice mayor of Nanning, pointed out during the event that local government departments and companies can enhance communication with consulates general in Nanning to jointly promote communication and cooperation between Nanning and foreign countries.
