Shanghai aunties are making hand-knit bouquets at the Yangpu Women and Children Activity Center for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics medal ceremony.
Olympians competing next month won't receive the typical flower bouquets on the medal podium. Instead, they'll be gifted hand-knit bouquets made of cashmere, which are more sustainable and long-lasting.
The average age of the aunties is over 60. They are scheduled to finish 2,400 hand-knit cashmere roses in about two months.
