Enhancing the legal sense of young people who use the internet is of vital importance, as negative online information is harmful to their physical and mental health.

This was noted by Yi Fang, vice president of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional High People's Court and a member of the National Committee for the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Yi suggested that mainstream law popularization platforms for teenagers should be built and opinion leaders for online communities should be cultivated. This should be done so that teenagers are steered towards establishing correct values, worldviews and legal concepts during their daily online activities.

She added that social public welfare organizations that focus on online literacy education for teenagers should also be established. These organizations can then go on to purchase online literacy and legal education services from outside parties to aid in the protection and education of youth in online environments.
