Guangxi to hold 2nd China-ASEAN AI Summit

The 2nd China-ASEAN AI Summit will be held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from Nov 13 to 15, focusing on promoting technological exchanges and digital economy cooperation between Guangxi and ASEAN countries.

As an important part of the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO), the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, as well as the China-ASEAN Information Harbor Forum, the summit is being hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, top experts in the field of artificial intelligence at home and abroad, as well as representatives of well-known enterprises in the information technology field like Huawei, Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, JD, and Siemens will attend the meeting.

The summit will arrange online and offline exhibitions, as well as negotiations, aiming to open up market-optimized channels for participating companies at home and abroad to promote business cooperation.

The digital technology exhibition will be mainly held online, focusing on products in the fields of the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, AI, big data, blockchain, smart manufacturing, e-commerce technology applications, and virtual reality vision technology equipment.

In recent years, Guangxi has made full use of its advantages to promote AI research and development applications, as well as industrial transformation. It has established a number of AI innovation research and development platforms, while the total number of digital economy enterprises in the region has reached 12,000.

This year, Guangxi is proposing to focus on building five digital economy demonstration zones, 10 digital economy industrial parks, and 100 key projects, striving to create a new output value of 100 billion yuan ($15.16 billion).
