A consultation on education between Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and four border provinces of Vietnam was held on Sept 9 online with five on-site venues in Nanning and four Vietnam provinces.
The event gathered a total of 12 guests at the Nanning venue as well as 44 Vietnamese guests in four Vietnamese provinces, namely Guang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang and Ha Giang.
Issues related to how to maintain and promote educational communication and cooperation between Guangxi and four Vietnamese border provinces were discussed during the event.
Liu Youyi, head of the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, put forward several suggestions such as launching training and exchange projects for teachers, promoting Chinese and Vietnamese teachers training, and giving full play to the internet for online education as well as setting up scholarship projects for vocational education.
