The Philippines will organize 16 companies to participate in this year's China-ASEAN Expo, focusing on showcasing specialty products such as food and beverages, home decor, and palm oil, officials of the CAEXPO Secretariat announced.

This will be the first time that durian from the Philippines will be showcased at the CAEXPO.

In recent years, cooperation between China and the Philippines has been expanding in various fields. In 2022, the bilateral import and export trade volume between the two places reached $87.73 billion, making the Philippines China's largest source of imported bananas and pineapples.

In the previous 19 sessions of CAEXPO, the Philippines has attracted the attention of international buyers by utilizing nearly 1,000 booths, mainly showcasing food, agricultural products, handicrafts, textiles, clothing, tourism, trade, and investment services. More than 400 Filipino companies, including well-known enterprises such as Liwayway Holdings, have participated in this expo.

Davao City in the Philippines has international friendship ties with Nanning, the permanent host site of the CAEXPO. This year, fresh durians from the Philippines have been allowed to enter the Chinese market, creating a wide range of future business opportunities.
