Chinese travelers made 102 million domestic trips during the three-day Qingming Festival holiday, said the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Monday.
The figure was a 144.6% year-on-year increase, bouncing back to 94.5% of the pre-pandemic levels. The revenue of China's tourism sector increased by 228.9% year-on-year to 27.17 billion yuan (about $4.14 billion), up 56.7% from the pre-pandemic levels.
These figures show a strong recovery of China's domestic tourism market.
