Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region will allocate funds to support projects, industrial parks, platforms and enterprises conducting digital cooperation with ASEAN, officials from the Big Data Development Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region announced on April 25.
It was put forward in a document of implementation opinions on supporting digitalization construction with ASEAN and was recently released by the bureau and the Finance Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Zhou Fei of the bureau noted that Guangxi will select demonstrations in projects on the application of new generation information technologies such as the internet of things, big data, cloud computing, 5G, artificial intelligence and block chain. A subsidy of up to 1 million yuan ($152,627) will be available for digital economy industrial parks or enterprises conducting business with ASEAN.
Zhou noted that Guangxi will initially formulate the core hub for the digital Silk Road with global competitiveness and influence in China and ASEAN by 2025.
