The China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat signed a cooperation and exchange agreement with the Chungbuk Business Agency of South Korea on Nov 29 via video meetings.

The commemorative meeting marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea and the 15th anniversary of the sister-region relationship between Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and Chungbuk.

According to the agreement, the two sides will share information on the economy, trade and investment, and will support their cooperation partners and member enterprises to carry out mutual industrial and technical exchanges. They will also dispatch economic and trade delegations to each other's matchmaking fairs and exhibitions.

Chungbuk enterprises are encouraged to participate in the CAEXPO both online and on-site, and settle in the China-ASEAN Business Center and the China-ASEAN Mercantile Exchange.

Chungbuk and Guangxi have carried out high-level reciprocal visits and achieved fruitful results through years of exchanges and cooperation since the two regions established the sister-region relationship in 2007.

Chungbuk officials said during the event that the region is looking forward to maintaining friendly exchanges and cooperation with Guangxi and supporting socioeconomic development in the two areas.

The CAEXPO Secretariat noted that Chungbuk has been taking an active part in the CAEXPO and brought 10 local enterprises to the 19th edition of the event, showcasing advantageous products such as beauty products.
