The Laos section of the China-Laos Railway officially launched a mobile ticketing APP on Tuesday, marking Laos’ railway entering the era of online ticket booking.

It supports Lao, Chinese and English, providing ticket and train number inquiry, online payment, ticket change, and other services.

Based on China’s online ticketing platform 12306, the mobile APP has integrated laws and regulations of Laos, cultural characteristics, and user demands.

With this APP, passengers can buy or change tickets online and arrange their trips scientifically.

It is of great significance to passenger service and promoting tourism along the route, said a person in charge of the railway section.

The maximum number of passengers in a single day on the Laos section has exceeded 10,000 since its opening on Dec. 3, 2021.
