Pic story of professor studying lychee cultivation for decades in China's Guangxi

Lyu Chaojin, a 87-year-old man who used to be a professor teaching agronomy related courses at a college in Guangxi, has been studying lychee cultivation for 40 years since the 1980s.

Based on professional knowledge and his understanding of environmental conditions, Lyu gave advice to local farmers and helped them increase lychee production.

The lychee breed cultivated by Lyu Chaojin at Zhangmu Town of Fumian District in 2019 has become a representative of the Yulin lychee. (Xinhua/Cao Yiming)
